I’m Chief Executive of Renfrewshire's TSI 'Engage Renfrewshire' which supports local community action, volunteering, and social enterprise. The agency also promotes the local Third Sector’s role in Community Planning.
I have a wide range of experience within education, regeneration policy and community engagement delivery with emphasis around the arts, youth work and the Third Sector. I've developed significant community initiatives including the establishment of community radio projects, ‘Out of Schools Learning’ initiatives, and award winning diversionary programmes. I also have experience in community asset transfers and local employment initiatives.
I managed a Youth Arts Service in Strathclyde Region before undertaking study in Photography & Film. During that time I was employed in a number of freelance roles with music and design companies and carried out photography briefs across the UK. On graduating I took up a range of education and arts roles with Renfrewshire Council which included acting as Principal Arts Officer before moving on to Paisley Partnership Regeneration Company where I was Company Manager.
During 2010 I managed the merger of the three local Third Sector support agencies in Renfrewshire to establish ‘Engage Renfrewshire’, taking up the role of Chief Executive in December 2010. In this new role I've been committed to the development of excellent community engagement practices for the Community Planning Partnership and championed the establishment of improved financial & governance models for Third Sector organisations.
I'm Chair of Renfrewshire's Forum for Empowering Communities, member of the Management Group for ‘Kibbleworks', member of the SFA's Developing Community Football Clubs Project Team, member of the Paisley Partnership Legacy Board and Chair of Childcare First Limited.
I hold a Masters Degree in Social Enterprise and I'm currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate (Justice, Welfare and Policy).
I joined Engage Renfrewshire in 2012 originally for 6 months with CJS (Community Jobs Scotland) as Front of House Assistant, during this time on occasion I would assist with administration duties for Engage’s Finance Team. After I completed the 6 months CJS, Engage offered me the post of Finance Administrator to which lead me to become a Trainee Accounts Assistant. I left Engage in 2015 for a year and returned in 2016 as the Finance Administrator, since then I have been promoted to Payroll Officer.

Last year, I completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Payroll Level 3 SCQF Level 6.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews; going on roadtrips with my friends and watching the football.
I have worked at Engage since January 2012.
I am responsible for the Sales Ledger of Engage, Childcare First & recording the bank transactions of all our individual payroll clients.

Outwith Engage I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and enjoy the outdoors.
I joined Engage in December 2001 and I am responsible for all the Purchase Ledger & Petty Cash both for Engage & Childcare First.
I support all the Payroll Clients processing their invoice payments.

I have a wide range of experience within community development, regeneration and community engagement delivery with particular emphasis around Social Enterprise, capacity building, community learning and development including Education Scotland School and learning community inspections as well as the Third Sector. I have also assisted with the development of a number of significant community initiatives including the establishment of community tool kits (Funding, Social Enterprise and Community Planning).
I also have experience in community asset transfers and local employment initiatives and am published with Glasgow University Department of Adult & Continuing Education as a model of good community practice case study.
I am committed to the development of excellent community engagement practices for the Community Planning Partnership and sits on Greener thematic board for communities.
I enjoy playing 7 a side football (too old and slow for 5’s) with friends and Motorcycling.
I am the Head of Finance for Engage Renfrewshire with overall responsibility for the financial management and governance of the company. My responsibilities also include overseeing and promoting the Payroll & Financial Services and supporting the subsidiary company, Childcare First.
I have over 13 year’s'Third Sector experience, working with Engage and have worked within the private sector previous to joining Engage.
In my spare time I am a dedicated ‘Dance Mum’ to my 4 girls, which takes up most of my time and money!!
I am the Community & Partnership Manager for Engage Renfrewshire and manage the Community & Voluntary Action Team as well as leading on collaborative working across the voluntary sector, and indeed between the voluntary and public and private sectors too.
With 15 years working for both national and local charities, I have a good grasp of the challenges faced by not for profit organisations, and of course the extraordinary impact which charities achieve day in, day out. I believe that the sector supersedes other sectors because we do more, with less, and I'm passionate about projecting the voluntary sector as the professional body we are.
Out with Engage, I can be found exploring Scotland in a decrepit but much loved VW campervan.
I am Engage Renfrewshire’s Volunteer Development Officer. I support organisations with best practice advice, saltire awards, policy development, marketing volunteering opportunities, volunteer referrals, projects, work placements, events, and the volunteer friendly quality accreditation.
I am highly committed to highlighting the professionalism of volunteering across Renfrewshire. I am also Secretariat of Renfrewshire’s Volunteer Manager Forum which comprises over 70 members, all of whom are involved managing volunteers. This Forum meets bi-monthly to discuss topical issues, share best practice and organise joint events.
Prior to this I held the position of Renfrew West Community Development Officer with Engage Renfrewshire. I was formerly a Director of HR with one of the largest social care organisations in Scotland.
I am Administrator at Engage and have been in the role since April 2016. Prior to this I worked in several sectors including charity, construction and advertising.
The Administrator role can mean wearing several hats on a daily basis including overseeing Reception, administrative support to the CEO and Board, Health & Safety, liaison with Engage’s tenants and events planning.

I have worked for Engage Renfrewshire since July 2005 and am employed as Saltire and Volunteering Administration Officer. I have built up strong working relations with schools and have gained a wide knowledge of the Sector and the local community.
In my spare time I enjoy up-cycling furniture, socialising and spending time with my family.
I am the Payroll Administrator here at Engage Renfrewshire having started out on reception as Admin Assistant in November 2017. Prior to joining I was working in the recruitment sector, recruiting staff for warehouse work and also was a receptionist within the hospitality industry. I have therefore come from an admin background where I have learned and gained useful knowledge, skills and experience.
In my spare time I like to spend it with my family and my beloved dog. I have recently took to hill walking exploring what Scotland has to offer with its lovely views and scenery.
I have worked with Engage Renfrewshire and its predecessor since 2004. Currently I am the Community Capacity Development Officer. This provides the opportunity to support, assist and work alongside community groups and associations across Renfrewshire. This includes assisting volunteers to set up new groups; providing information on constitutions, committees and office bearers. I also arrange relevant training that will support and inform local groups to become more effective in helping their communities but also becoming more sustainable, for example leadership & management, PVG and Gift Aid. I also organise funding fayres, where community groups can meet with funders face-to-face and chat through their ideas. Additionally, I assist groups and associations identify and access funding, by way of a funding toolkit and our new GRANTfinder internet based software. These both provide the opportunity for me to enable groups to consider if they are able to apply for funding and what they might have to put in place before applying for funding.
In life outside work, I enjoy watching and being an expert on football. In my own head I am one of the best managers in the world. I really enjoy going hill-walking with my sons, keeping fit, going to the cinema, and eating as much cake as possible.
