Klas Care became the first ever Renfrewshire Social Enterprise to secure multiple funding from Firstport Scotland including; “Start it” level 1, “Build it” level 2 and “Lift it” grants. Engage proudly supports Klas Care.
Engage Renfrewshire was contacted by STV Children’s Appeal with the offer of £2000 to spend on a family fun event. This event was free to those families living within easy reach of specific centres. The content and arrangements were totally up to us at Engage.
Engage Renfrewshire is currently working in partnership with Senscot on a variety of service delivery elements including the Partnership and Procurement Hub initiative.
The partnership and procurement role within Senscot provides a dedicated programme of practical support to social enterprise in identifying and responding effectively to emerging tender and procurement as well as other business opportunities. The role supports social enterprises to develop partnerships and consortia.
The Common Grind is a social enterprise, using 100% of their profits to improve people’s lives and minimise their environmental impacts. All of their products are locally, ethically and sustainably sourced! very impressive and honourable for such a young couple and fledgling enterprise. The Common Grind also donate 20% of their profits to FareShare, an organisation partnered with MoveOn that sends food waste to food banks and charities who transform it into healthy meals for rough sleepers and other vulnerable people.
Engage Renfrewshire is currently supporting and working with The Common Grind on a variety of service delivery elements, including other partnerships with public, private and third sector organisations.

Jones & Us is a social enterprise providing a unique and bespoke personal training and activities service, focused on people with disabilities and mental health issues.
Fitness for Ferguslie community gym is a social enterprise providing affordable access for individuals and community groups. It promotes health and delivers fitness programmes to suit all incomes and fitness levels.
Scots Toddle Tots is a new emerging social enterprise that provides activities with a unique focus on outdoor play and learning for pre nursery toddlers and families in the Linwood area.
Youth Interventions (SCIO) is a new social enterprise that provides intervention activities for young people in the Renfrewshire area, with a unique focus on behavioural change.
Regeneration specialist contractor Engie has handed over cash to community projects across Renfrewshire. Three lucky local community projects each received £2000.00 towards delivering their services locally.
